IF I had to provide my bank account with photographic ID then they would have the courtesy to tell me why. The only way they would have my photo is if they took it without my consent.

I am still using the same account and to date have never provided them with either a driving license or passport. I signed up for this account when I was under 18 and had no photo ID at the time this was some years ago mind. My real issue with the whole this is they will not tell me why they want this information and the rude telephone agent gave me a response along the lines of 'because we have requested it!

So, it's not just sites from China! As others have stated above, I ordered a vacuum that weighed around 7lbs. However, I was able to do a little bit of investigating and have the guys name, phone number, address, and the same for multiple family members, right here in the US (Arizona). I even offered video camera proof that I did not receive a delivery from UPS that day and time, but back in May, all they cared about was the fake UPS delivery tracking number. Same problem here!
